About this course

CADJewellerySkills is proud to offer in conjunction with SimplyRhino our officially certified Level 2 Rhino for jewellery design CAD online short course.

This 7-day online short course picks up where the Rhino Level 1 for Jewellery Design short course ends, taking students through more advanced surface and subdivision modelling techniques using Rhino 3D. The goal of this is to grant greater insight and detailed control over what can be made using 3D modelling tools.

Course topics include:

  • Understanding NURBS surfaces and controlling their topology
  • Creating insets, inlay and filigree
  • Methods for placing curves and objects on surfaces, including methods for adding surface texture
  • More advanced techniques for rendering using Rhino Cycles
  • Fundamentals for controlling the Rhino SubD interface
  • Problem solving strategy for both surface modelling and subdivision modelling

Upon completion, all trainees receive an official certificate equivalent to McNeel’s standard Level 2 Rhino training.
