iJewel – Using CAD for Sales in a Digital Showroom (UPDATED)

17 November, 2025

UPDATE: iJewel3D has just announced it will be featured as a MatrixGold plug-in in the next version of the software!

I wanted to talk a bit about a lovely 3D digital sales tool and platform called iJewel 3D. For those who haven’t heard of it, iJewel is a suite of well-integrated digital sales presentation tools which allow 3D CAD designers and businesses to display their work to clients and collaborators in an easy to customise and manipuate format.

It seems they’ve been around for a few years, starting in Singapore and spreading internationally through trade shows. While the array of technologies they utilise are not necessarily new (specifically web-base semi-bespoke design interfaces, secure file sharing platform, and augmented reality), they have combined them into one seamless product and digital service in an original and elegant way.

iJewel comes with a range of modular tools which you can add or subtract from your account:

  • iJewel Design – a 3D digital sales presentation platform with customisation options for your existing imported CAD models.
  • iJewel Drive – A combination of a visualisation tool and a shared folder for clients and collaborators.
  • iJewel Tryon – An augmented reality app for trying on 3D jewellery designs via your mobile device.
  • iJewel Batch X – A fast rendering platform for generating batches of CAD renders of your 3D models for the purposes of turntable animations or website display.
  • iJewel Playground – The editor for setting up the materials and environments for the models for the other tools in this suite.

Through iJewel’s YouTube channel you can also find several of the ongoing seminars they run to showcase the capabilities of the various tools in the suite.

As I mentioned, these services have been offered before individually over the years by other companies, but I’ve never seen them offered together, let alone integrated this well. And for a long time many individuals and companies have dreamed of generating an easy to use sales tool and dynamic library, but never quite delivered. Countersketch hinted at it, but as they grew increasingly technical they matured in a different direction from the simple sales tools wanted by customers or sales reps who weren’t designers. It’s nice to see someone making it work.
