A 3D Printing Store Right On Our Doorstep – iMakr Opens Tonight On Clerkenwell Road in London

1 May, 2013

solidoodleLadies and gentlemen, I present iMakr – the UK’s very first 3D Printing and Rapid Prototyping store right in Farringdon on the edge of none other than Hatton Garden (London’s historic jewellery quarter and my own base of operations)! Their two story shop had its grand opening party this evening, offering 3D printing, product design, and hardware sales services among other things. According to their own press release, they claim it’s the world’s largest store of its kind!

London’s Silicon Roundabout has been making a lot of news lately for the amount of foreign investment it is attracting for technological research and development. Some boffins are even going so far to say London is the best place in the world to be right now for computer technology and innovation. It’s a curious turnaround to see in these economically depressed and xenophobic times. But it’s nice to see some bold businessmen bucking the gloom.
