Art Jewelry Forum Article On 3D Printing Provides a Nice Counterbalance To the Media Hype On 3D Printing

14 November, 2013

The Art Jewelry Forum website recently published an interesting article which applies a critical eye to the media hype that has built up 3D printing into the latest trend.

He makes some very good points about the uninformed hysteria which has been built around the technology (probably in no small part encouraged by those hoping to sell the machines now at the crest of the trend). However, I think his arguments about the technology becoming a one-hit wonder and not changing the face of manufacturing assume the technology is improving more slowly than it really is.
