Putty infused with ferrous metal, anyone?

It’s easy to forget that Rapid Prototyping research is 1/3 computer science, 1/3 mechanical engineering, and 1/3 materials research.

Some of the latest in innovative materials are so alien and astounding to our everyday understanding as to seem like science fiction. But without this research, we would not have the compounds and chemicals used to produce rapid prototyped objects.
